Agrovista teams up with Botanicoir and Bato to provide best choice of product supply and advice at Fruit Focus

Agrovista has joined forces with Botanicoir and Bato at Fruit Focus to offer visitors the very best in product supply and advice for substrate crops on one stand.

It is the first time that the three companies have collaborated in this way at Fruit Focus, says Mark Davies, commercial head of fruit at Agrovista.

'It is very clear from our experience in the field, working with many UK soft fruit producers, growing many varieties, that there is no 'one system suits all',' he says.

'The ability to supply a choice of grades of Botanicoir substrate, either in bags or in conjunction with the Bato range of substrate systems, means that growers should' be provided with the combination that works best for them.'

Post-planting products and advice are equally important. The Agrovista team can offer products and advice to help ensure the crop is a success.

'Regular crop walks help ensure that our Koppert range of bees and biological controls are used to maximum effect, and that spray programmes complement their presence,' says Mark. 'Regular monitoring, and accurate identification is crucial.'

The Agrovista Fruit Team continues to embrace technological changes. For tree fruit growers, the Growers Choice Interactive (GCI) crop monitoring programme continues to evolve, offering real time/real place support for decision making.

Text and email alerts are added to ensure that crucial information is received in a timely manner. The adoption of cloud based Green Light Grower Management software, in conjunction with Agrovista's own AXIS cloud-based offer, allows growers to maximise the use of farm data, to produce real results.

Fruit Focus is one of the busiest dates in the calendar for the Agrovista Fruit Team, as it offers a valuable and timely mid-year catch up with many growing and industry colleagues.

'The whole UK team will be in attendance, with expertise available across all soft fruit and tree fruit crops,' says Mark.

'We look forward to welcoming existing and potential new customers onto our stand, where we will be happy to explain more about our services and the wide range of products on show, as well as answer any questions they may have.'
